You might noice that I have very few white wines reviewed on ViralVines. Why? My wife
doesn’t particularly like white wine .. and so normally we drink red. In this case I was having dinner with my son-in-law and daughter. We decided on Thai food and he happened to have this bottle already chilled. Great choice! Not really sure what Gooseberry smells or tastes like, but this wine did have a wonderful berry like aroma and taste, with just a very tiny bit of sweetness – not sweet, just a tinge off dry. I would believe that it was not from a cold climate vineyard as it did not have the customary cat pee smell or taste that one often associates with Sauvignon Blanc. In any case a wine that I would certainly recommend to try - great mouth feel and great pairing with the Thai food.
